Addison is an award-winning painter whose oil paintings include landscapes, waterscapes, and portraits.
He specializes in depicting the essence of the waters around us, in North Carolina as well as Maine, New Zealand, Scotland, and Canada. His paintings capture the fragile beauty of this life-giving element, and have been featured in a solo exhibit at Duke University. The show titled "Waters of Serene Sanctuaries," showcased five large oil paintings depicting the coast of North Carolina, a pond in eastern Canada, Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Scotland’s Isle of Skye and South Carolina’s Low Country.
Currently, Addison has a solo exhibit at Gallery C in Raleigh. The exhibt opens Sunday May 1, 2022 and will be up for a few weeks following the opening.
His paintings are in private collections in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina as well as Duke University.
